E5: Zernez-Ardez

A wonderful route that leads from Zernez via Fuorcla Stragliavita to Ardez.

To warm up, you walk comfortably westwards from Zernez, mostly a little off the main road on hiking trails. After just under 5 kilometres, turn left into the Val Laschadura. The route now climbs steadily, mostly on beautiful trails, towards Fuorcla Stragliavita, which at 2687 metres also marks the highest point of the tour. Keep your eyes peeled, with a bit of luck you might even see a bearded vulture flying past. Now the downhill begins through a picturesque, long valley to Ardez. At around 1900 metres, you reach a forest path, which you follow to Ardez. The last part is slightly uphill again, but you don’t have to climb many metres in altitude. POI=Point of Interest
