E3: Guarda-Trail

High above the rooftops of Guarda, the route leads to the alpine mountain lake Lai Blau. Lush mountain meadows, alpine landscapes and marvellous views guaranteed.

The start is in Guarda. After a few 100 metres through the village, turn left towards Alp Sura and Chamonna Tuoi. Soon you are more or less on the direct fall line through the forest, past the small lake “Al Laiet” to the Alp Sura. It now becomes somewhat flatter and you follow the trail along the mountain slopes, always heading into the valley as far as Marangun. The last part of the ascent leads along the western slope to Lai Blau. This is in a picturesque location and reflects the mighty peaks of Piz Buin and Piz Fliana – well worth the effort. The descent is a little rocky at first, but soon leads gently over alpine meadows. Below Alp Suot, you cross the Clozza mountain stream and then keep to its course. Shortly before the end, the stream is crossed again and a short ascent leads back to the starting point. POI=Point of Interest
